Gajar halwa in a jiffy - Gluten Free


Ingredients:

  1. Carrots - washed, peeled and grated  - 4 pounds.
  2. Sugar -1 cup
  3. Condensed milk -1/2 cup
  4. Dry milk powder - 11/2 cup
  5. Butter- unsalted -1/2 stick
  6. Water -1/2 cup
  7. Almonds- blanched and slivered.
  8. Green cardamom seeds - 1pinch
Method:
  1. Take a pressure cooker. Add carrots, water, sugar and pressure cook  for 2 whistles.
  2. Take out the steam and open the pressure cooker.
  3. Add condensed milk, butter, dry milk powder and green cardamom seeds.
  4. Let it cook till all the moisture evaporates and carrots get a glossy shine.
  5. Garnish with allmonds.
  6. Bon Apetite!
