Gajar halwa in a jiffy - Gluten Free
Ingredients:
- Carrots - washed, peeled and grated - 4 pounds.
- Sugar -1 cup
- Condensed milk -1/2 cup
- Dry milk powder - 11/2 cup
- Butter- unsalted -1/2 stick
- Water -1/2 cup
- Almonds- blanched and slivered.
- Green cardamom seeds - 1pinch
- Take a pressure cooker. Add carrots, water, sugar and pressure cook for 2 whistles.
- Take out the steam and open the pressure cooker.
- Add condensed milk, butter, dry milk powder and green cardamom seeds.
- Let it cook till all the moisture evaporates and carrots get a glossy shine.
- Garnish with allmonds.
- Bon Apetite!
