Chilli Paneer- Indian cottage cheese with bell peppers. Gluten Free
Ingredients:
- Red, yellow, orange and green bell peppers- cut in 1 inch cubes - 2 cups.
- Onion - 1 big cut in cubes
- Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Indian cottage cheese (Paneer) - 1 cup (cut in cubes)
- Cumin seeds (Jeera) - 1 teaspoon
- Red chilli powder -1 teaspoon
- Ajinimoto -1/4 teaspoon
- Soya sauce - 1 table spoon
- Chinese chilli garlic sauce - 1 table spoon (2 if you like really hot)
- Garlic - 5-6 pods crushed
- Salt -1 teaspoon
Method:
- Heat the oil in the pan. Add cumin seeds. As soon as the cumin starts spluttering, add crushed garlic and saute it till it becomes light golden brown.
- Now add onions and saute it till the onions become translucent. Add all the bell peppers and saute it for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Next add red chilli powder, ajinomoto, soyasauce, chilligarlic sauce and salt.
- Once the bell peppers become a bit soft, add paneer. Slowly toss the mixture. Cook it for two to three minutes more so that everything is well coated.
- Chilli paneer is ready! A must hit at a party.
Note: This is a dry preperation . If you want to have a little gravy , you may add half a cup of water with 2 teaspoons of corn flour and add it at the end and cook for 2- 3 minutes. You will get a glossy gravy.
