Black Bean Dirty Rice! Gluten Free




 Ingredients:

  1. Leftover  cooked Rice               : 2 cups
  2. Onion                                        :1/2 medium size finely chopped
  3. Cumin seeds                              :1/2 tsp
  4. Black Beans                              : Low sodium ( 1 can)
  5. Tomato                                     : 1 finely chopped
  6. Cilantro Chopped                      :1 Tbsp
  7. Oil                                             : 1 Tbsp
  8. Red Chilli Powder                      : 1/2 tea spoon ( I use MDH degi mirch)
  9. Garam Masala                           : 1 tsp
  10. Serrano Pepper                         : 1 finely chopped( optional)

Method:
  1. Turn on the heat and put a non stick pan on the stove.
  2. Add oil. When the oil is a bit hot, add cumin seeds.
  3. When the cumin seeds start spluttering, add chopped onions.Saute it till they become translucent.
  4. If you are not afraid of extra heat, you may add the serrano pepper now. You may leave it altogether if u like your food mild hot.
  5. Add tomatoes , salt and red chilli powder. Stir for 2 minutes. 
  6. Wash the back beans in a strainer under running water and add the beans to the above onion masala.Mix it . If there is a bit water that will evaporate now.
  7. Now add garam masala and garnish it with chopped cilantro.
  8. Bon apetite!
