Vermicelli custard- Seviyan custard

  Ingredients

1. Vermicelli                         - 1 cup
2. Whole Milk                      - 4 cups
3. Unsalted butter                 - 1 Tbsp
4. Green cardamon powder  - 1 pinch
6. Sugar                                -1/2 cup
7. Custard powder                - 1 Tbsp( Brown & Polson)
8. Almonds slivered             - 2 Tbsp
9. Cashews                           - 1Tbsp ( chopped coarsely)
9. Rose petals                       - 6


Method:

1.  Take 4 tablespoons of milk from 4 cups and dissolve custard powder and keep it aside.
2.  Turn on the stove  on medium heat and keep a heavy bottom pan on it.
2.   Add butter . As soon as it melts add vermicelli. Saute it till the vermicelli is lightly golden in color.Add Slivered almonds and cashews and saute it for 1 to 2 minutes.
3. Add milk to the vermicelli and keep stirring till the vermicelli becomes soft . It will take 7 to 8 minutes .
4. Add sugar and keep stirring so that the sugar dissolves completely.
5. Now add custard powder dissolved in milk to the boiling mixture and keep stirring for 5 minutes so that the milk thickens and the raw flavor of  custard goes away. Add cardamom powder and turn off the heat.
6.  Refrigerate the custard after it cools completely.
7. Garnish it with rose petals and serve chilled.
